In this series of 5×5′ nude self-portraits, I explore the intersections of vulnerability and empowerment. By incorporating the aesthetics of artists like Mickalene Thomas and Ana Mendieta into the backgrounds, I create a dialogue with feminist creative lineages. Each piece is set within hand-crafted wood frames by Brian M. Law, using reclaimed cherry and birch to symbolize the societal constraints and freedoms of the female form. Through light and shadow, these works invite reflection on agency and body positivity, celebrating a resilient path toward self-acceptance.
These works are a $200 investment. Contact for sales or inquiries to see more.
